It's imho not so much engineering then rather business decision, how long some model gets produced or how big batch was. Hard to blame them, as due price forged wheels are much narrower niche products then more mass products like cast ones. Too expensive to keep big unsold inventory of such. Meanwhile .. can anyone tell, how much lightest 17" TWS that can be fit on ours and has native 5x100 pattern & reasonable offset, weight? Yes, 16x7 beats many others of 16" size, but how well these do among very lightest 17" ones?
