The exceptions to that seems to be GTR and Mustang drivers. I have seen some real idiots behind the wheels of those.

Very true. From what I've seen, the ones driving recklessly are the ones in the POS cars that aren't designed for that stuff. Like ricers in completely worn out Honda Civics from the 80's or hicks in raised trucks. The mature drivers with nicer, more capable sports cars usually keep it under control until the situation calls for it.
