I've got the ol' notchy 5th gear as so many people do. It's never really bothered me, but once I found out that they'd replace the whole tranny for free, I knew I had to take advantage of it.
And they've only heard it fully warmed up after driving it for an hour to the dealership. I wiiiiiiish I could be there on Monday morning when they find out what cold starts are all about. Like... if I could just be hiding in the bushes with some binoculars. That would be glorious.

Don't worry, mine really feels abandoned. It was left in the Bronx for 3 weeks and hasn't been driven since the second week of August because it threw a fit and stacked bearings on the inside of the engine. Subaru won't cover it so the engine is still in Pennsylvania getting put back together by @
moto-mike while the car sits uncovered and engineless in my driveway. Compared to mine, yours must feel like it's been left at one of those fancy five star hospital hotels.
