I have a different magnet holder (see above) - but I'm 99% sure it can be removed without any issues.
There's basically a sticky side to the magnet, I personally put my magnet on my case instead of the phone just because I don't like how the phone looks with a magnet on it (and the magnet was thin enough that my case still fits snug)...
