I had this happen when I replaced the small stock tips with some nicer looking ones from Perrin. What I did was get behind the lower edge of the tip with a screw driver and then pulled down and back at the same time. The lower bottom of the old tip bent and allowed the broken screw to come clear of the pipe. Then I just slide them off. Took some force pulling down with the screw driver, but it worked
