^ I think the pricing would go way beyond just material costs. The Genesis Spec R is reported to be a stripped down version of their Track trim, without the bluetooth, and gadgets that the normal track version comes with, but still have all the performance parts that were in the track version.

The way I see Hyundai being able to produce a car for such a good price is because their a Korean manufacturer vs a Japanese manufacturer. It's not just whats going to be in the car and the materials used to build it but where each manufacturer is getting their parts, for how much, the current economic status of their respective nations and how much profit they're looking to make off the product.

But of course at this point and time, Japanese autos are superior in quality to Korean autos, but of course that will change in the next 10-20 years.
