14.5" of rain yesterday at the Austin airport, on top of several inches of rain last weekend during the U.S. Grand Prix. Those F1 drivers better be glad the race wasn't head THIS weekend or they might have needed speed boats.
Our average annual rainfall is supposed to be about 35", so in the past two weekends we have received about 60% of that (22" total). The wettest year on record was 1957 at 55.74 inches. We are now at 55.26" with two months to go. Guess the drought is over for now. The bad part is that we've gotten this rain in three big batches, separated by no rain at all for months. New normal?
