Good part of having a reputable shop doing it for you is the guarantee you get. Instead of you scratching your temples and asking people on forums why your suspension is making weird noises when you try to DIY. Though, many shops only give you the runaround when something goes south... That's "business" I guess.

This has been an eye opener for me, about labor rates, since I do all my services myself anyway. I had no idea how expensive it is nowadays. Seriously considering getting my ASE cert renewed now. If not for some side jobs (which I still do as favors), for shits and giggles.
