I am not complaining. i respect all performance shops price because they take their time and making sure there is no error..
however, my hobby is car and like to DIYs on most of parts myself. i cannot call myself perfect mechanic but somewhat novice level..so i can do coilover + LCA... maybe i'd go and pay $595 if my time is not allowed

Good part of having a reputable shop doing it for you is the guarantee you get. Instead of you scratching your temples and asking people on forums why your suspension is making weird noises when you try to DIY. Though, many shops only give you the runaround when something goes south... That's "business" I guess.
This has been an eye opener for me, about labor rates, since I do all my services myself anyway. I had no idea how expensive it is nowadays. Seriously considering getting my ASE cert renewed now. If not for some side jobs (which I still do as favors), for shits and giggles.
