Also, I was planning on going over this verbally with everyone who comes out for the early leg, but like all of our drives, safety is a priority. This is not a race or a Touge style event to see who can keep up with who.

Everyone has different car setups/mods, tires, driving styles, and comfort levels. Nobody should feel like they have to drive above their comfort zone. If you see another driver in your rear view that is uncomfortably close to you, don't feel like you need to go faster - just maintain your pace and hopefully that will be a clue for them to slow down a bit and increase the distance between them and you.

Additionally, even though we're getting an early start there will still be cyclists on the road to watch out for. Please give plenty of room when passing and try to avoid passing if there's a blind corner ahead where you won't be able to tell if oncoming traffic is approaching.

These are very technical roads and even after driving them for the past 11 years, I still do not allow myself to get too "comfortable" on them. Lets give them the respect they deserve. Thanks.
