It could never be a fair comparison in the first place - roots type superchargers behave differently from centrifugal superchargers. Edelbrock will give you more low end torque whereas the HKS will yield more power in the top-end.

A more fair comparison against HKS would be JRSC/Kraftwerks, and for Edelbrock it would be against Cosworth/Harrop or even Sprintex in a way.
