The manual specifies that the engine sits naturally at a rearward angle. When checking dipstick level, the engine should be as flat as possible to line up with the reference line. To level in my garage, I jack up the rear of the car about a foot with a level bubble gauge sitting on top ofthe blower until its as center as I can get it. I do live on a hill, so I might just find a good spot along it to park such that engine will sit level.

I've gotten so fed up with getting 'exactly' 157 mil. now,I shoot for good enough. My thinking is you just don’t want to overfill by large margins. You obviously don't want to run without oil either.

If sprintex wanted it kept at exactly 157 mil., they would have given us a better dipstick and tightened tolerances so we wouldn't be refilling every couple thousand miles. If we're consuming oil anyways... then what's the damn point of shooting for precise oil levels.

This is what I tell myself anyways...it helps me sleep at night when I think about my blower seals burning when I haven't checked oil levels in a while.
