The car feels more like a mix of the Miata and S2000 but does have extra (although limited) practicality. I'm not sure there's any previous cars that I'd really be able to draw a family tree from for this car.. most likely would be some of the great JDM cars of the 90s but even then it's quite different from those.
By the numbers it seems like a RWD ITR, but in terms of practicality, rawness and the focused nature of the ITR it doesn't compare. On the flip side compared to a G35/G37 it's much more raw and focused, but still with less practicality. Compared to the S2000, it feels similar but is more practical. |
I never had the chance to drive the S2000, but I guess my mind compares the fun I had driving my Integra with all the creature comforts that the G37 has. I agree too with mixing some Miata in there as well... The BRZ does have its own quirks that I love that do not compare to the others though! All around just an amazing vehicle with its own "Soul and Passion" that Top Gear only uses to describe Italian cars.
