ok everyone, just called and got an update.
Apparently my steering gear is stripped out! The advisor then followed with, this is not just something that happens, something had to have caused this. So i dont know if its going to be covered because this isn't normal. I responded with well is that not what warranty is for? Things that are not expected or normal, immediately he says, well it was in an accident in august so who knows what happened. I said I do, i got tapped at a traffic light and a cop happened to be there in the next lane and the dent popped out on its own. He just said I will call you tomorrow but I dont think they will cover it.

I wouldn't get too upset yet. Just bc some know-nothing service rep guy says what he says doesn't mean there aren't intelligent men who will examine the rack and determine what failed.


I don't know how an owner could destroy his steering rack even if he TRIED. Maybe park right against the curb and turn the wheel into it full lock?
