The problem with a code reader is that it clears the code, but it can come back at any time.

A O2 elbow/extension may prevent the code from showing up, but it is not guaranteed.

The two permanent fixes for purposes of inspection are:

1) put back to stock
2) get a ECU tune that removes this code (as others have mentioned)
