Just giving a qualifier, andI dont think if it applies here, but more hp doesnt always translate into better area under the curve or better lap times. For instance, adding a larger turbo might equate to more peak hp but too much lag could hurt performance. Now in this case, the idea is adding more boost, but if it wasnt added equally across the rpms, maybe progressively, then again, peak hp could be higher, but not substantially across the rpms to sometimes justify reliability or cost. Again, not saying that is the case here, but I think that is where he is coming from.
