If you can check it every couple of days then animals shouldn't be an issue. When you run it make sure you leave it long enough to get right up to full temperature. Other than that there shouldn't be much you need to do for such a short period. If you think about it the cars sit for months at the dealer's lots and you can bet they don't do anything special with them.
