Toyota and Subaru have a contract dictating the ratio of cars produced sold as Toyotas and Subarus, while that ratio has floated it's stayed pretty constant at 1:3 in the beginning and 1:2 more recently for the U.S.
You call it abysmal, the businessmen who made the agreement call it "according to plan".
In the UK it was 1:10 in Toyota's favor.
