Petrolheads are too much concerned with low engine temp. You don't want to ruin your street driving with low engine temp.

I work for a manufacturer that build shit cars, but we can still build an engine with a 106C regulation for the street. It makes for better efficiency.

Under hard driving conditions we instantly switch back to 90C regulation.

Running a street car under 80C is totally stupid.

As the manufacturer knows people are stupid, we will always set the display temp on the dashboard to 90C. If the temp is between 70 and 109C, we tell the driver it's 90C.
It's fun when you read a review of the car, and the journalist says the thermo management is great because the gauge stay always in the middle
