I think the paddles are just bolted into the wheel. I don't have an automatic, so I can't check, but I think you'd be able to relocate the paddles over, provided they have the correct mount points. Someone with the Prova/Cusco/TRD wheel can probably chime in.
RallySportDirect in the Prova DIY thread said it's not a problem for the Prova, for what it's worth.
