mav1178 depends on what kind of school I would imagine. If it is a public university, yes. A private school, in theory, you could take a ticket and throw it in the trash if you are a visitor. If you're a student then the worst they could do is revoke your pass or prevent you from registering or graduating, or tow your car I guess for trespassing. It's like the private lots in LA that are giving out illegal "tickets." They are meaningless.
