speaking of safe; unlike coupes people should definitely get some sort of rollover protection (roll bar and such).. Roll bar and the PPE Long tube headers were my first ever mods on my old Miata then I realized that I don't like compromise tires for track(aggressive street tires ) but instead I like separating track pads,wheels/tires (R comps) and be able to fit all the other things for track days (jacks, stands, tools, fluids,,,etc) so I either had to go with Miata +trailer + get something more practical for street or get a BRZ to fit the track tire/wheel set..larger community and aftermarket support of the FT86 platform made it only easier
i dont think a rollbar is a very smart thing for the street and i dont think the twins have a better aftermaket than the miata but i understand where youre coming from. i dont know if i could bring myself to take my commuter car to the track so i hold on to the miata.
