My view on that review is simple. EVO Magazine like many other print car magazines are having an ever decreasing circulation due to enthusiasts turning to online sources such as blogs, forums for their motoring news and reviews (also magazines such as EVO UK can be downloaded for free as a PDF from many file sharing sites). They simply wanted to create a controversy and an unnecessary controversy to increase traffic to their online media to increase advertising revenue and hopefully sales of their print magazine. They succeeded massively by giving the BRZ a negative review - just take a look at how many people have viewed that video and given it a negative comment! In the latest issue they have reviewed a manual GT86 and said it is massively better than the BRZ due to a slightly different suspension set up.
UK magazines are never as objective as the US ones. They are always biased towards European brands and are always quick to review and praise certain models when they are updated (eg C63 AMG, M3 Competition Pack) and these models are regularly featured in group tests whereas the 2012 Lexus ISF (with the new SACHS suspension set up, BBS wheels, 2 tone interior) hasn't featured in any UK magazine group test! The only time I have seen the 2012 IS-F make an appearance in the UK media is on the Lexus UK facebook page!
