I think I misunderstand. I am talking about the anti-rattle "shims" that are on the side of the pads, not the backing plate.
Thanks CSG Mike! I finally got around to installing the pads I bought from counter space garage. I signed up for subiefest, as all the 86cup's left are really far from me.
I never reuse that backing plate.
Am I using the incorrect terminology?
