That is the thing. In order to model a track properly, you cannot simply rely on the telemetry data capture *from a car* to model the whole track. You need terrains, paths, curvature, and probably a whole team to review tons of video and even blue prints of the track to get it right. What you can get from the telemetry data from running your car to the track is more of where you were, relatively to the track position compared with the GPS locations, and the internal data of your car like throttle position, turning angles and whatnot. Then they can try to match your GPS location to the track and use the other information to match the parameters used in GT to simulate your ghost image.
In other words, getting the data of the location of the car and its internal data is easy and uploadable to GT. Getting the track data is a whole different game. As Polyphony will never be able to make all the tracks around the world, you can only use this thing on the tracks they provide.
