Granted I'm describing a front mounted turbo setup. Compare to rotrex not twinscrew.

Why is it a twin screw has higher IAT? Is that core intercooler just not sufficient enough ?
Given the same volume of air and pressure the air in a turbo system is going to be cooler and denser than that of a roots type supercharger. Roots type superchargers in particular are not nearly as efficient at compressing air without adding heat, hence the temp differences. It's just a limitation in the design. I'm pointing this out because the post I quoted was considering a screw or roots type.

There will be differences with a rotrex but they're still not as efficient as a turbo because of the belt. Less efficiency = more heat to produce the same pressure and move the same volume. I'm speaking very generally here and I'm sure someone with a better grasp of the physics can correct me if I'm wrong.
