There are various "matte sprays" out there for coating pictures, etc...

I'm wondering if this could be sprayed on OEM dash panels to "dull-down" what I would characterize as a "Satin" finish on the OEM panels.
Has anyone replaced their OEM panels with aftermarket and would be willing to ship their OEM to me so I could test?
