Ok here,s what i know
With oft tune the dealers diagnostic equipment eg techstream will report the same ecu calibration id as stock weather you have a stage 1 2 or e85 tune in the ecu.
Its possible for them to prove it not a standard tune by comparing the CVN or checksum value they read out of the ecu with either a known stock car with same calibration id or they can look it up in their documentation. It highly unlikely the local dealership will do that sort of thing unless they are rearly after you for some reason. Note this is NOT a flash counter.
Techstream does not appear to have the ability to read roms just overwrite them, but it very likey they may have other tools at higher levels than dealership.
If your going in for warantee work its best to flash to stock if possible
i suspect they just had trouble connecting techstream to car for some unrelated reason it a slow clunky piece of software, i doubt they went off and checked checksum values or anything , i would not loose sleep over it, cars fixed :-)
