Smile TMG & DRT race car project

hi guys,

I'm a new to the GT86/FRS world, but I'm very happy to enter it. i have learned a lot from this forum and i wish to learn more and more from the members experience.

I'm representing a team called Delta racing team (DRT) based in Qatar and we are participating in official races around the middle east. Our new challenge was to participate in the local race using 2.0L NA engine (as per the regulations) and we have chosen the GT86 for this job.

After spending a lot of time reading and searching the web, we have decided to go for the TMG CS-V3 GT86 cup car made by TMG in Germany. The car has been manufactured in the TMG workshop and was shipped directly to us. Thanks for TMG for this!

As you know, the car came with V3 specification which leaves the engine as completely stock, but modifies the handling.

the complete specs of the car is available on :
HTML Code:
http://www.toyota-motorsport.com/motorsport/images/CS-V3_Technical_Specifications_2013_car.pdf
But in brief, The car specs are as follows:
Power:
1. Engine: stock
2. Inlet & filter : stock
3. Exhaust :custom made by TMG
4. manifold : stock

Suspension:
ÖHLINS 2 way adjustable front with Camber adjustable
Rear fixed
Torsen LSD; 4,1 Ratio
O.Z. 17”x8 racing wheels

Brakes:
STD rotors Ventilated front
STD Rear Rotors solid rear
Racing pads done by TMG
Braided brake lines
TMG brake cooling duct system

harness:
FIA approved racing seat with TMG console
Steering wheel 320mm, 3-Spoke racing wheel with PTT Button
6-point racing TAKATA safety harness, HANS applicable
electronic fire extinguisher system
Full welded roll cage.

Now, After trying the car on the track in the official tests, the car felt great in handling & it is very reliable especially with the hot weather that we have here. TMG has made a really great car that could run even for 24hours race with no problems. However, its not enough to compete in this race and we need to look for more modification to be done especially on the power.

As per the race regulations, the engine should remain stock with 2.0L NA, but all other parts are free of restriction including the ECU and the inlet.

my question is, what i can do to increase the power with the same engine. i have decided to go for UEL headers with skunck 2 filter, but can i do anything more?

any suggestion? keep in mind that the car is used only for races

Also, do i have to make any ECU tune for the Headers & the filter only?

i will keep this thread for the project progress and will update it with pictures, modifications, & race results

thanks
