Ive worked at dealers before, both in sales And service. The reason PDIs cant get done quickly is because the service side is doing their own thing. Salesmen usually have to bug the piss out of the service managers to get PDIs on queue. Service doesnt give a crap about PDIs. Im guessing with a special car like this they will give it priority over other cars. But dont expect every tech to drop what they're doing and do a PDI. A good tech will make more money doing other jobs , so no one is chomping at the bit to do one. A moderately busy service shop could easily take 3 or 4 days to PDI a dozen cars. A shop with nothing going on? 3 techs could do 12 cars in 3 or 4 hours if they were forced to.
