I converted both of my remote keys to flip keys like shown in tumbla.jr's post above. I took the new flip-keys to a locksmith who charged me $2.00 per blank to make my keys. Well worth the price and both keys work great. The locksmith had to remove a pin holding the key blank in the flip-key. He removed the flip-key blank, cut it and reinstalled it into the flip-key all for $2.00. The hardest part is digging the transmitter out of the Scion remote keys. There is a little cut out section in the flip-keys to put the transmitter into. I am satisfied with my flip-keys, been working great for almost a year.
