Just got my black legacy license plates today (I put in my order when the program was first announced). While the black legacy plates with yellow numbers were originally for 1960's cars, and some may argue that it doesn't belong on a modern car, I ordered them because:
1. The black plate with yellow numbers is less obtrusive than the standard white plate with blue numbers on my DGM BRZ, and I feel, matches better.
2. I consider our cars an 'instant classic' milestone in Japanese sports car design, like the Z, RX-7 etc, hence a 'classic plate' isn't out of place on it. That's the story I'm sticking to, anyway.

3. It's something a little different.
I know some may like it, some may not, but I'm just posting pics here so you can see what they look like on our car. I think that the legacy plate would look great on a black car with yellow brake calipers, or the yellow limited edition FR-S.
