The best supercharger system for Lotus 1,8l Toyota engine use a TVS. It gets 300 crank hp without IC. TVS efficiency is so good that it don't need an IC at the track.
With IC it gets 400hp, all on pump gas.
I guess we could get very high power without that 12,5 compression ratio.
