Well, I found the issue, and while grease fixed it for now, it wasn't really the main problem.

I removed the inner bolt that goes through the balljoint/whatever you call it and removed the rubber boot and greased both of them, a lot. But on the first one I removed the boot on, I saw that it had this plastic bushing-thing inside it so that the ball itself didn't do metal on metal contact in its socket. The other one didn't have this, which this photo shows.



My explanation of this isn't very good, English isn't my first language
