The drivers side end tank has a 3" outlet on the top with a single 90 that goes direct into the throttle body. So that side had to be able to align with the throttle body. Pass side has 2 small bends and it's straight into the turbo. Mostly alignment to get the most intercooler core, with minimal bends/couplers. If it was centered the drivers side would have had to go around and under the headlight then up to a 90 into the tb. Would have been a ton of bends/welding/couplers. Basically a compromise between shortest/straightest piping and being centered
