Bummer. Heat gun/torch damage? Somehow? Have you tried to apply any type of paste or 'stuff' to get it out?
For anyone taking their car in for repair/check up etc... who gives a sh!t about it
(because I know some people dont care because they are rich as hell and others see the twins as worthless), I recommend to always photograph their car in front of whomever they are delivering the keys to. 4 pics can be enough. Even welfare dependent peeps get a free phone nowadays. No excuse. Not that it'll fix any issue that may arise, but it will offer for a basis of argument.
