I mounted mine to the little triangular window on the driver's side. That's a good location where it's quite visible without obstructing your view of anything else important.
Crap. I really need to vacuum.
For power, I used an add-a-circuit plugged into the seat heater circuit so that it would power off when the car is powered off. There are some other empty circuits in there that might work better, but I was lazy and didn't want to track down which ones weren't hot when the power was off when I knew the seat heaters would work.
I can't get a pic of this without pulling the lower panel off my dash, but I cut the cigarette lighter plug off a dual USB car adapter, wired the adapter to the add-a-circuit and mounted it to the dash support under the steering wheel. Now I have two 2.1 amp 5V USB jacks under the dash (one of them is currently empty).
Then I simply plugged in a regular USB charging cable and ran it inside the dash over to the tablet. Thanks to shoddy workmanship, the trim panel on the end of the dash leaves a little gap that is just big enough to slip the cord through without having to cut anything. I have the cable turned slightly so that it folds itself up neatly between the door and dash without getting crimped when the door is closed.
There's another similar gap between the door trim panel and the door right under the little triangular window. Eventually I'll run my cable through the boot into the door and through that little hole to dress the cable even better.

Not really, unless you're heavily modified or planning to race. The OBDII reading should give you the correct temp, assuming your oil temp sender is working properly.
However, what this car does NOT have is a real oil pressure sensor. The pressure switch on the front of the block is only an on/off switch for the idiot light on the dash that only trips when the pressure is almost at zero, so the computer never gets an actual oil pressure. That's the one major thing you can't display in Torque (or any OBDII reader). For that, you have to install an aftermarket oil pressure gauge with a separate sender.
