Why? You noticed that I only said "pet", right?

My dogs can't drive or accidentally knock the car into gear, and the alarm would sound if a window were broken and/or door opened without the key. I'm never more than 50' away.

I've done this since the first Toyota Smart Entry car I owned in 2004 and it's worked well for brief stops at the farmer's market and post office while my dogs relax in air conditioned comfort. For other stops without service dog restrictions like Home Depot where everyone knows him, he goes in with me.
