The first thing I do when I get a car is to give my father the spare or valet key. It's usually so if I happen to lock myself out of my car or if he has to move it. My wife usually gets the other spare. When I brought the FRS home he was on vacation. Once he returned I gave him a spare and asked if he wanted to go drive it. He just shook his head and walked away.
