Then one day the BRZ was out front when we were going somewhere so we tried it. She actually found it easier to get in and out of. Even though it is lower, the doors are much longer, so it was easier to swing her legs and the cast. As long as I picked a parking spot where we could open the passenger door all the way we were fine. We got some funny looks, especially early on when were using one of those lightweight wheelchairs when we were going anywhere that would have required a lot of walking, like the grocery store. I guess most people don't see a BRZ as a handicap vehicle!
My 82 year old mother with her replaced hips greatly prefers getting in and out of my car over my wife's RVR. She just pivots and drops in mine instead of having to climb up. Like you though we have to make sure we pick spots where the door can be fully opened.
