Does that tear up the console?
I'm not crazy about him tracking mud, snow or whatever through the passenger seat after a hike.
I'm so used to letting the dog in through the hatch in the mini. Blankets in the back and the front seats stay clean (well some hair flows up there)

I think my dog could handle sitting in the passenger seat but I don't think he could lay down on it which would make long trips Tough (occational 3.5 hr drives t my parents' house) I'll have to see how far the front seat moves back for sitting on the floor in the front
Mine usually hops in from the trunk but occasionally likes to jump in from the driver seat/center console if I leave my door open and look away lol.

Either you pull the seat up every time, sacrifice your center console, or sacrifice your rear bumper. Rear bumper may be saved with a protective sticker but never tried it.
