I was unaware of using two camber bolts.. hmm.. with that I would probably bump the front up to -2 and -1.5 in the rear.

Okay, that explains a bit why you had so little camber in the rear.
+42 offset is okay but a bit on the high side and will limit the width of tires you can run unless you add spacers (which effectively changes offset).
I recently mounted a set of 18x9 +42 BremmerKraft wheels with 245/35R18 tires for a customer.
We had enough clearance to the inside strut to even add crash bolts but was still very tight and he has some light rubbing during autox. Should be fine for daily driving and everything translates to 17" the same with a 245/40R17 tire.
