Then again people might do comparos with the Civic Type R, Cobalt SS, Focus Ecoboost, and quite possibly even compare it to Pony cars like the Mustang v6 and the Genesis Coupe .

My bet is still that the FT-86 meets it's weight limit of 1200KG meaning 2800lbs. And if you strip the interior maybe 2600-2700lbs. with no Carbon Fiber(CF).

At this point we'll be lucky to get a decent version of the FT-86. The only thing I've seen on the Subaru variant was way back when it was said they would be selling it in Europe only.

Maybe we should start an email campaign to Toyota/Subaru asking not only for a comfirmation of the FT-86 in the US and Australia and Germany, etc etc, but a wishlist too.

BoostJunkie and f1ver, can ask for 300HP stock.

Conor, can ask for plenty of the "hoonage" factor.

Snaps, can ask for a turbo version.

what do you think? nothing says greedy, american like a wish list to a company during December.
The car I'm most comparing this to (the N/A version anyway) is the S2000... They both have very similar weight, power, and purposes - small, lightweight, free-revving, low COG, good throttle response, etc.

If the FT comes out turbo with ~280hp, I actually don't know what to compare it to... I can't think of anything that will weight that little with that amount of power, stock. modified is different.
