Never mind the arrow in this picture. I took it from earlier in the thread.
As long as the spherical part I painted green is butted up against the clip on the inside edge of the yellow, you're ok.
If the play is irritating, you can take up some with the cruise cancel switch. Just make sure you don't push in the green part.
