If you log "fuel sys status" you'll be able to see when the ecu transitions from closed loop fueling to open loop fueling.
I believe 4 indicates open loop, 2 is closed loop and i think 0 or something is cold-start/warm up. Double check this information in the "maf scaling" thread.
