Shot in the dark here, but using Firefox? Try disabling hardware acceleration in the browser if so.

I have a gaming laptop which had the same thing happen in Firefox. Drove me nuts for a good week before I found that. I had to go into about
:config, but it looks like you can do it from the menu now.
