Wider throttle opening and low RPM saves fuel.
Just tested it out on my manual and it doesn't like it.
Does automatic allow driver to shift at lower rpm or something ?
shifting at 2000 is just really low in 1st&2nd, not saying you shouldn't do it or anything i'm just surprised how low you can shift in your 86 without lugging. :O
