Yes, on the street the car can be a bit boring when it comes to acceleration in stock form. But, in a performance setting you will be surprised at the performance out of the gate.

First mod for these cars should be tires, especially if you plan on doing any performance driving. My first mod was 17x9s with 245 Rivals, followed by a Grimmspeed Strut bar and Master Cylinder brace. I got second in SNA class for auto-x both days with no other mods. I got first in SNA at PG2014.2 in SNA with only suspension mods.

That being said, my car is now e85 on OFT. Great pickup, no issues, and flashing back and forth is effortless.
A lot of good info, thank you for sharing your perspective

I've autocrossed the rsx so hopefully the learning curve won't be too steep. I hope to have a week of ownership under my belt before pg lol. Supposed to be here today or tomorrow.

How'd those 17x9's feel in stock form? Did you notice the extra contact patch slowing you down much?

I was hoping to go with oft first because similarly with Kpro, it just wakes the car up a bit with the more aggressive map.

Who did your tuning, if you don't mind my asking? I know full blown prefers ecutek. I know Shane has tuned at least one 86 on oft though.
