big difference here is that we do not "add" fees in the office. You are made aware of them when the price is presented to you by the salesperson.
Kinda weird how others have mentioned 5 and 6 hundred dollar doc fees but apparently ours at 299 is insulting.
i don't make up the fees and how much they are. I've bought several cars where I work and i've paid it every time. I don't like paying it just like u guys don't. But no matter where I buy a car it's there.
The OP asked what the Doc fees where for everyone and I gave an answer. The end.
Ps: We don't charge you freight. the manufacturer does (mostly because the cars won't magically appear on the lot, they could just make them more expensive and not tell you why. I much prefer that at least I know that the 795 or what ever it may be goes towards something. Not a single penny of that freight charge goes to the dealer, that's all manufacturer.
PDI? sorry, we don't have a separate PDI charge. I guess you can add that to what's built in to our doc fee?
