If it wont rev past 4000rpm then it likely in limp home mode.

is the CEL light on ? check for cel codes
note any cel code numbers then clear any codes

what year is your car ?

D Series
ZA1JA700D, 900D,A00D,A01D,B00D all compatible with ZA1JB01D
ZA1JD00D for late 2014/2015 cars only

I got same issue ie limp home mode only rev to 4000 when i tried flashing a late2014/15 rom to my older vehicle their appears to have been some changes to dash cluster/alternator in the late model cars which make the new roms incompatible with older cars.

also as kodename47 said let the car idle for a minute after a flash to let ecu sort out its cam calibration.
