I know what you mean - I get the occasional "lurch" when the AT can't decide what it wants to do. The nice thing is if you use the paddle shifters at that point you get to manually override the AT without actually setting it into Manual, and if you stop manually shifting it'll go back to doing it for you.
It's still weird when it happens though. Feels like I have to kick it back into gear :p
